What is App a Day?

With i-touches, i-pads and i-phones becoming more popular, the apps are increasing in numbers too. With so many apps out there, how do you know what is good and what isn't. That is what I am hoping to help you with in this blog. If you have a suggestion of an app to share...please send me an email to jdief99@gmail.com.

After taking a year off with a new job...I have many apps to discuss. Follow me for at least 3 new apps at week.

Timed Test Addition FREE

My children were really struggling with their math skills.  They hated timed tests because, being very competitive, they were falling behind others and wanted to always be at the top.  I began searching for "good" timed test apps since they enjoy using my ipad.  This app (which I later purchased the full version of) has taken my daughter from the middle of her math class to one of the top 5.  She competes with herself nightly to see if she can beat the night before.  It has the same layout as what she uses at home but it is on the ipad which must mean it is fun.

This app is free but there is a paid app with more math skills.

GroupShot

Are you sick of people blinking, not looking when the picture is taken or goofing around which ruins your perfect picture.  Use this app and take multiple pictures.  It will let you easily choose your favorite picture, take out that one person who blinked and change it with a better head.

This app is currently $0.99 in the app store

GroupShot solves a common problem found in group photos, namely one person who isn’t facing the camera or whose expression doesn’t fit the rest of the group.
Usually people take several shots of group photos, with the hope that one will be perfect.
With GroupShot, users can pick and choose parts of each photo, then combine all the parts to create the perfect shot that looks exactly the same.
